Project Description
The Exploit4InnoMat Ecosystem aspires to provide a sustainable solution across Europe for the design, upscaling and validation of new material concepts for the building envelope that will facilitate in the achievement of the EC target for near Zero Energy Buildings. The core mission of the Exploit4InnoMat project is to establish a sustainable Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) across Europe. This platform is designed to support the design, upscaling, and validation of new advanced and nano-enabled materials for building envelopes, helping to meet the European Commission’s targets for nZEB and contribute to climate-neutral goals by 2050.
YS participation Role
YS undertakes the development of novel photocatalytic nanoparticles based on TiO₂ for providing antimicrobial and antiviral properties in paints and coatings to be used in buildings. Furthermore, the photocatalysts present antireflection properties towards excessive infrared radiation (IR), promoting both hygiene and comfortable living conditions in urban environments.
