Project Description
EXTREME aims to develop a breakthrough ACCs valorisation process to produce high purity PGMs streams for end-use applications based on their recycling with Deep Eutectic Solvents. EXTREME will investigate the interactions of the PGMs with other compounds in the DESs and the corresponding reactivities of the species formed, as well as the chemical reactions and mechanisms during leaching, electrowinning and cementation to achieve the selective recovery of PGMs streams at high purity.
YS participation Role
YS undertakes to conduct the research on the specialized process for the selective leaching and recovery of platinum, palladium and rhodium using Deep Eutectic Solvents, as well as validate the technology in a novel electrochemical cell.
