Novel Ionic Liquids Development

Our ionic liquids are at the forefront of sustainable industrial processes. In critical raw materials (CRM) recycling, ionic liquids serve as a reusable, non-volatile medium for extracting valuable elements like rare earth (REE) metals and platinum group metals (PGMs) from electronic waste and spent catalysts. This technology supports industries such as electronics, automotive and renewable energy while significantly reducing environmental strain. For marine heavy fuel oil (HFO), ionic liquid-based solutions provide an energy-efficient method for desulfurization. This process selectively removes sulfur compounds, allowing shipping operators to meet the IMO 2020 sulfur cap while preserving fuel quality. We also apply ionic liquids in diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration, offering an eco-friendly method to restore filter performance.
