We are more than happy to announce that Dr. Stylianos Spathariotis, Ph.D., Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at YS Cypriot Catalysts Ltd., will be presenting groundbreaking research at 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, organized by FEMS – Federation of European Materials Societies and SOCIEMAT – Sociedad Española de Materiales, in collaboration with the Office of Naval Research.

🎤 The presentation will take place in the E1 – Automotive and Surface Transport Area and is titled “𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴”

This innovative research, developed within the framework of the 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, introduces a cutting-edge method to 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 (#PGMs) from End-of-Life (#EoL) autocatalysts using Deep Eutectic Solvents (#DES).

In parallel, the process is benchmarked with a 𝗖𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 developed by Monolithos Catalysts & Recycling Ltd. – achieving up to 100% recovery of Platinum and over 90% recovery of other precious metals.

These innovative technologies support the shift to green mobility, while reducing the EU’s dependency on virgin raw materials—delivering real impact for a circular, sustainable and resilient raw materials ecosystem.
