Last week, the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Belgrade hosted the kick-off meeting for the #VERDEDRIVE project, funded under the prestigious Horizon #MSCAStaffExchanges program.

VERDEDRIVE aims to revolutionize biofuel production by investigating the use of by-products from natural crops—such as rose petals, sour cherries, maize, local soybean varieties—to create eco-friendly, renewable green diesel. Through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates precision agriculture, chemical engineering, biotechnology, and advanced modeling, VERDEDRIVE is positioned to make a significant impact in the biofuels sector.

At YS Cypriot Catalysts Ltd., we are proud to be a key partner in this initiative, contributing through #LifeCycleAnalyses (LCA) and #LifeCycleCosting (LCC) to ensure the sustainability and economic viability of the solutions developed.

The meeting was an inspiring start to this journey, featuring productive discussions, knowledge-sharing, and a unified vision for addressing global energy challenges with innovative and sustainable approaches.
